Hands-on holistic health care
This neurologically based approach can address chronic and acute conditions and help support optimal wellness. It’s becoming increasingly popular for humans and pets.
Small misalignments of the spinal cord, called subluxations, can cause discomfort and pain. A chiropractic adjustment can return the spine to its normal position, thereby eliminating the discomfort.

What to expect
Chiropractic care often complements other therapies that we prescribe. It is available at Rockledge Veterinary Clinic through Elizabeth Ann Krimmel, D.C., who has been adjusting pets at our office since 2007. On your first visit, Dr. Krimmel will take your pet’s medical history and evaluate your pet’s muscles, joints and gait. She will also check your pet’s neurological function. After the evaluation, she will recommend a treatment plan based on your pet’s health, age, weight and other factors.
The treatment itself involves gentle manipulations, or adjustments, to correct any subluxations. It may also involve muscle or nerve stimulations or balancing activities. Most pets accept the exam and the adjustment without any signs of discomfort. You may also be given exercises to do at home with your pet.
