Allergy Testing
Chronic ear infections and/or chronic skin infections often can be reduced to one simple but complex problem – allergies. Like humans, pets can be allergic to a myriad
of allergens from food to dust mites. Allergies are usually complex and require a comprehensive treatment plan. Blood tests can identify many inhalant allergens such as pollen, weeds, dust, etc. Even if your pet spends little or no time outside, allergens come in on shoes or from open windows and doors. Some of the most insidious allergens are actually in the house! Some epileptic seizures have been linked to food allergies. Food allergies are trickier to diagnose,
but with an individualized feeding plan, environmental modification and medications, many can be controlled.
