Behavioral Counseling and Training

Pets often show illness or anxiety through improper or changed behavior. If your pet’s behavior has changed or
is inappropriate (i.e. a cat that used to be fastidious and is now urinating outside of the litter box) we will determine if the problem is medical or behavioral. If the problem is strictly medical, we will initiate a treatment plan that includes the appropriate medicines and possibly changes in diet.
If there is a behavioral component to the problem, our behavior technician, Lisa Berkenstock, will teach you how
to manage the specific behavior.

Lisa also offers puppy training classes at our clinic. Starting your relationship with your new puppy by signing up for Puppy Kindergarten classes can avoid a great many future behavior issues and provide critical socialization.

Lisa Berkenstock is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and
a Certified Veterinary Technician who pursued her passions by becoming expert in animal behavioral counseling and training. With 18 years of experience, she has developed techniques for reshaping undesirable behaviors with positive reinforcement and compassion. Lisa offers puppy and adult dog training classes, and is available for private sessions. She is also available for consultations for many feline behavioral issues. or to register for one of her classes, call 215-900-0125.
